Example and practical tips
One cubic meter of M20 (1:1.5:3) concrete needs about 8 bags of 50 kg cement, 0.42 m³ of sand and 0.84 m³ of aggregate.
Frequently asked questions
Why multiply by 1.54?
Dry materials shrink when water is added and voids fill, so about 54% more dry volume is needed.
Which mix should I use?
M20 (1:1.5:3) suits slabs and beams, M15 (1:2:4) general work and 1:3:6 foundations and floors.
