How to use the Word Frequency Counter
The word frequency counter lists every word in your text with how many times it appears and its share of the total. Sort by the most frequent words, alphabetically or by length, make the count case sensitive, leave out common words and numbers, and export the full list to CSV for a spreadsheet. It works with any language.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with other languages?
Yes. It recognizes letters in any alphabet, including Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and accented Latin letters.
How are words split?
Words are runs of letters and numbers. Apostrophes and hyphens inside a word, as in "don't" or "well-known", keep it as one word.
Is my text stored?
No. The counting happens in your browser and your text is never sent to our server.
