How to use the QR Code Generator

- 2 Set foreground and background colors with clear contrast. Choose error correction and a download size appropriate for your design.
- 3 Download PNG or SVG. Scan the exported code with a phone and confirm the content before printing or publishing it.
Example and practical tips
For a website code, choose URL and enter the full address, such as https://toolzhive.com. Scan the download to confirm it opens the intended page. For Wi-Fi, check both the network name and key carefully.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the destination after downloading?
These are static QR codes: the entered content is encoded directly in the image. To encode different content, generate a new code. A website you control can redirect an existing encoded URL, but this generator does not manage redirects.
Do the codes expire or track scans?
The generated image has no built-in expiry or scan tracking. A linked website must remain available, and a Wi-Fi code only works while its network details remain valid.
Why is my QR code difficult to scan?
Try darker foreground colors on a light background, preserve the blank border and avoid shrinking the image too far. Long content makes denser codes. Test at the final display or print size.
