  1. 1 Choose a PDF file.
  2. 2 Choose Excel or CSV, and whether all pages go on one sheet.
  3. 3 Click Convert to Excel, check the preview, and open the downloaded file.

Example and practical tips

A bank statement PDF becomes a spreadsheet with dates, descriptions and amounts in separate columns, ready to total with a SUM formula.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

No. Scanned pages are images without text; they need OCR first.

Why are some columns merged?

Columns are guessed from where text sits on the page. Tightly spaced or irregular tables may need a quick tidy-up in Excel.
