How to use the Email Address Generator
The email address generator creates lists of realistic-looking test addresses for forms, databases and demos. By default it uses the reserved example.com, example.org and example.net domains, which can never belong to a real person. You can also use your own test domain, choose a username style and add +tags for testing email filters.
- 1 Choose how many addresses you need and which domains to use.
- 2 Pick a username style, and add +tags if you need them.
- 3 Copy the list or download it as a CSV file.
Example and practical tips
Generate 50 addresses like ayesha.khan@example.org to test the sign-up form and email validation of a new app without risking messages to real inboxes.
Frequently asked questions
Are these real email addresses?
No. Example domains are reserved for documentation and testing. Addresses at popular providers may belong to real people, so never send email to generated addresses.
What are +tags?
Many providers deliver user+anything@domain to the user's inbox, which is useful for testing filters and sign-ups with one real mailbox.
Can I use them to sign up to websites?
No. They cannot receive email, and using fake addresses to create accounts may break a site's terms.
