Tool Development
From a useful idea to a tool you can inspect and question.
What makes a useful tool
A tool should explain what it accepts, what it produces and where its limits matter. ToolzHive combines interactive tools with instructions and selected worked examples. The Methodology page explains how to check assumptions, units and output.
Processing and dependencies
Some tools work in your browser; others send requests to the server or an external service. Consult the processing information on the individual tool and the Privacy Policy. Browser features and external services can affect availability and supported formats.
Help improve a tool
Use the report option on a tool page to send a tool-specific issue. For site-wide problems, use Report an Issue. Reproducible inputs, expected output and a reference make a report easier to investigate. Avoid including private files or personal information.
Follow published changes
The Changelog records published updates with dates and affected areas. It is a record of changes, not a promise of a release schedule. You can also suggest a new tool.
