Worked example

A plot of 300 × 200 ft is 60,000 sq ft, about 1.38 acres or 11 kanal.

How big is an acre?

43,560 square feet, about 4,047 m², roughly 70% of a football field.

How big is a kanal?

Usually 20 marla or 5,445 sq ft, though local marla sizes vary.
