Scan a web page for broken links. Every link is requested and its HTTP status shown, with broken (4xx, 5xx) and redirected links listed first.
About this tool
Scan a web page for broken links and see the status code of every link.
How to use Broken Link Checker
- Enter the page URL and choose how many links to check.
- Click Find broken links and watch the progress.
- Fix or remove the links in the Broken links list, and update redirected links to their final URL.
Worked example
A resources page with a link returning 404 sends visitors to a dead end. Replace it with the new address or a working alternative.
Why is a working link shown as broken?
Some sites block automated requests or require a login, answering 403 or 429 to our server even though they load in your browser.
Does it crawl the whole website?
It checks the links on one page. Run it on your most important pages, or use the website SEO audit to crawl a site.
