About this tool
Summary statistics for every column in a CSV file: N, missing, mean, SD and more.
How to use CSV Descriptive Statistics
- Upload a CSV or TSV file, or paste data copied from Excel.
- Say whether the first row holds the column names.
- Read the summary table and download it as CSV.
Worked example
For a 16-row clinical dataset, the glucose column shows 15 values, 1 missing, mean 126.4 and a median of 102, a gap that hints at an outlier.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and summarized entirely in your browser.
How are text columns handled?
Columns that are mostly non-numeric are listed separately with the number of distinct values and the most common ones.
