How to Use Curtain Size Calculator

Calculate curtain length, rod width, fabric width and the number of panels for your window, fullness and style: sill, apron, floor or puddle length.

About this tool

Calculate curtain width and length for your window and fullness.

How to use Curtain Size Calculator

  1. Enter the window width and height and where the rod goes.
  2. Choose the length style and fullness.
  3. Read the curtain length, rod width and panels needed.

Worked example

A 48 × 60 in window with floor-length curtains at 2× fullness needs a 60 in rod and two 54 in panels about 95 in long.

What is fullness?

How much wider the fabric is than the rod; 2× gives soft, full folds.

Where should the rod go?

4–6 in above the frame and 4–10 in past each side.
