Worked example

360 has 24 factors and a prime factorization of 2³ × 3² × 5, which is why it divides so neatly into degrees of a circle.

What is a prime number?

A number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself, such as 2, 3, 5 and 7.

What is a perfect number?

A number equal to the sum of its factors other than itself, such as 6 = 1 + 2 + 3.
