Worked example

A− (4 credits), B+ (3), B (4) and A (3) give a semester GPA of about 3.46.

How is GPA calculated?

Each grade’s points are multiplied by the course credits, added up and divided by the total credits.

Is A+ worth 4.0 or 4.3?

This calculator uses 4.0, the most common rule. Some schools give A+ 4.3.
