About this tool

Calculate your weighted average grade from assignments, tests and their weights.

How to use Grade Calculator

  1. Enter each assignment’s score, the maximum score and its weight.
  2. Add or remove rows as needed.
  3. Read your weighted percentage and letter grade.

Worked example

Homework 92% (20%), quizzes 85% (20%), midterm 78% (25%) and project 88% (15%) average to about 85.2%, a B.

What if weights do not add up to 100?

They are scaled automatically, so the result is the weighted average of what you entered.

Can I leave weights empty?

Yes. Then every item counts equally.
