How to use Child Height Predictor

  1. Choose units and whether the child is a boy or girl.
  2. Enter the mother’s and father’s heights.
  3. Read the predicted adult height and range.

Worked example

A mother of 163 cm and a father of 177 cm predict about 176.5 cm for a son and 163.5 cm for a daughter.

How accurate is the prediction?

About 95% of children end up within roughly 8.5 cm (3.3 in) of the predicted height.
