About this tool

Find out which internet service provider and network you are connected through.

How to use What Is My ISP

  1. Open the page to check your own connection automatically.
  2. To check another connection, enter its public IP address and click Find ISP.
  3. Read the provider name and connection details.

Worked example

On home broadband you might see your cable or fiber company; on mobile data you see your mobile carrier; on a VPN you see the VPN provider’s hosting network.

Why does it show a company I do not recognize?

Many smaller providers rent capacity from larger networks, and VPNs, proxies and corporate networks show their own provider.

Is my IP address stored?

No. It is looked up for this request only and not saved.
