About this tool
Create an HMAC-signed JWT from JSON payload data and a supplied secret.
How to use JWT Encoder & Signer
Select HS256, HS384 or HS512 and enter a valid JSON payload.
Use the iat and exp helpers if appropriate, then enter a test secret and indicate whether it is Base64 encoded.
Copy Signed token and inspect it in your test environment.
Worked example
Create a token with a fictional subject and short expiry for a local authentication test.
Does this support RSA or elliptic-curve signing?
The available controls support the listed HMAC algorithms. They do not provide asymmetric-key signing.
Should I use a production signing key here?
Use test secrets. A live signing key grants significant authority and should stay within your controlled signing infrastructure.
