How to Use Open Graph Checker

Preview how a link looks on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, and check its Open Graph and Twitter Card tags for missing titles, images and descriptions.

About this tool

Preview how a URL looks when shared on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and more, and check its meta tags.

How to use Open Graph Checker

  1. Enter the page URL.
  2. Click Check tags.
  3. Compare the previews, fix the failed checks, then re-share the link.

Worked example

A page without og:image shares as a bare text link. Add a 1200 × 630 pixel og:image and the preview shows a large image card that gets far more clicks.

Why does Facebook still show the old image?

Social networks cache previews. Use their sharing debugger tools to refresh the cache after updating tags.

What image size should I use?

1200 × 630 pixels (a 1.91:1 ratio) works well on almost every platform.
