Worked example

Extract the text of a research paper to paste quotes into your notes, or feed it to the word counter or keyword density checker.

Why is some text in the wrong order?

PDFs store text by position. Unusual layouts such as sidebars or rotated text may come out in a different order.

Can it read scanned PDFs?

No. Scanned pages contain images of text and need OCR.
