About this tool

Standard picture frame sizes and the matching mat opening sizes.

How to use Picture Frame Sizes

  1. Find your print size in the fits column.
  2. Read the frame size and mat opening.
  3. Use the A-size table for international paper sizes.

Worked example

An 8 × 10 print fits an 11 × 14 frame with a mat opening of 7.5 × 9.5 in.

Are frame sizes the same in every country?

No. The US, UK and Europe use different standard sizes, so check the chart for your region and the product’s own measurements.

Why do inches and centimeters not match exactly?

Products are made to round numbers in one system, so the other system’s figures are rounded conversions.
