How to Use Online Ping Test

Ping a website or IP address online from our server. See the response time of four TCP pings with minimum, average and maximum latency and packet loss.

About this tool

Ping a website or IPv4/IPv6 address from our server and measure connection latency.

How to use Online Ping Test

  1. Enter a domain name or IP address.
  2. Choose port 443 for HTTPS sites or 80 for plain HTTP, then click Ping.
  3. Read the average latency and the four replies. Timeouts mean the host did not answer on that port.

Worked example

Pinging google.com on port 443 usually answers in tens of milliseconds. If a site that loads for you times out here, it may block connections from outside your country or network.

Why TCP ping instead of ICMP ping?

Web servers cannot send raw ICMP packets, and many hosts block ICMP anyway. Timing a TCP handshake on a web port measures the same round-trip delay reliably.

What is a good ping time?

Under 50 ms is excellent, 50–150 ms is fine for browsing, and over 200 ms feels slow for games and calls. Distance to our server affects the result.
