About this tool
Preview how your title, URL and meta description appear in Google results.
How to use Google SERP Simulator
Enter your title tag, meta description and URL.
Switch between desktop and mobile, and add a date if the page shows one.
Adjust the text until both show “Fits” and the preview reads well.
Worked example
A 75-character title is cut at about 600 pixels on desktop, hiding your brand name. Move the key phrase to the start or shorten the title.
Why pixels instead of characters?
Google cuts titles by display width. Wide letters like W and M use more space than i and l, so pixels are more accurate than a character count.
Will Google use my description?
Often, but Google may rewrite titles and descriptions to match a search. A clear, relevant description is still used most of the time.
