Worked example

Typing 250 correct characters in one minute is 50 WPM, faster than the average adult’s 40 WPM.

How is WPM calculated?

Correctly typed characters are divided by five, the standard word length, per minute.

How can I type faster?

Practice touch typing with your fingers on the home row, focus on accuracy first, and look at the screen rather than the keys.
