How to use Webcam Test
- Choose a camera and click Start webcam, then allow access.
- Read the resolution and measured frame rate.
- Toggle mirroring and take a snapshot if you want to save a picture.
Worked example
If a meeting app shows a black image, test here: a working picture means the camera is fine and the app’s settings or permissions are the problem.
Why is the picture black?
Another app may be using the camera, a privacy shutter may be closed, or permission may be blocked in the address bar.
Is the video uploaded?
No. The video stays on your device.
