- 1 Choose a microphone and click Start microphone test, then allow access.
- 2 Speak and watch the level meter and waveform move.
- 3 Click Record 5 seconds and listen to the playback.

Why is the meter flat?
Check that the right device is selected, that it is not muted in the system settings, and that the browser was given permission.
Is my audio recorded or uploaded?
No. Audio stays in your browser; the playback clip is kept only on your device.
