How to Use DMARC Record Generator

Generate a valid DMARC TXT record with policy, subdomain policy, report addresses, percentage and alignment options, ready to paste into your DNS.

About this tool

Build a valid DMARC TXT record with policy, reporting and alignment options.

How to use DMARC Record Generator

  1. Enter your domain and choose a policy: none to monitor, quarantine to send failures to spam, or reject to block them.
  2. Add the address that should receive aggregate reports and adjust the optional settings if needed.
  3. Copy the host name and TXT value into your DNS provider, then confirm it with the DMARC checker.

Worked example

For example.com with p=quarantine and reports to dmarc@example.com, create a TXT record at _dmarc.example.com with v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@example.com.

Which policy should I start with?

Start with p=none to collect reports without affecting delivery, then move to quarantine and reject once all your senders pass SPF or DKIM.

What does pct do?

pct applies the policy to only a percentage of failing mail, which lets you roll out quarantine or reject gradually.
