Test your internet speed: download and upload in Mbps, plus latency (ping) and jitter, measured against Cloudflare’s nearest speed test server.
About this tool
Measure your download speed, upload speed and latency.
How to use Internet Speed Test
- Close other downloads and streams.
- Click Start test and wait while latency, download and upload are measured.
- Compare the results with your internet plan.
Worked example
A plan advertised as 100 Mbps that tests at 30 Mbps on Wi-Fi but 95 Mbps over a cable points to a Wi-Fi problem, not the connection.
How much data does the test use?
Up to about 150 MB, depending on your speed.
Why is my result lower than my plan?
Wi-Fi, other devices, VPNs, busy evenings and the distance to the server all reduce measured speed.
External service: Cloudflare
The test downloads and uploads data to speed.cloudflare.com and can use about 150 MB of data. Check your connection’s data allowance before starting.
