Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a PMID and a PMCID?
A PMID identifies a PubMed record. A PMCID (starting PMC) identifies a free full-text copy in PubMed Central. Both are shown.
Why are plain numbers ignored?
Page numbers and years look like IDs. Tick the option to count lines that contain only a number.
